Andrew J. Zimmerman was awarded the Bennett G. Hornstein Memorial Scholarship for the 2010-2011 school year. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a major in political science and a minor in international relations. Zimmerman attends Creighton University School of Law.
Zimmerman is a student member of the American Bar Association and Creighton Public Interest Law Forum. He is a volunteer student advisor for Sarpy County Teen Court, participates in the Creighton Law Ambassadors program, and was a semi-finalist in the Client Counseling Competition. Zimmerman’s legal interests include business law, litigation, public interest law and estate law.
Prior to attending Creighton University School of Law, Zimmerman was an aide to Nebraska State Senator Abbie Cornett, providing constituent interaction and case management. He also was a research assistant to Nebraska State Senator Bill Avery on the Help America Vote Act committee. Zimmerman has served as an election organizer and a director for a number of political campaigns.
